How long is the service? It’s nice to know how long a service typically runs so people can plan accordingly.
What about kids? Visitors with children like to know what to do when they first walk in—should they head to the kid’s classrooms or bring them into the main service? Also, they want to know what kind of care their child will be receiving.
What’s the service like? Let people know the style of music, whether the service is formal or informal, and other details so they know what to expect. Try to make these details reflect the mission and values of your church.
How do people normally dress? People feel more comfortable in a new place when they don’t feel like they stand out.

Emmanuel Mennonite Church is dedicated to the authority and sufficiency of Scripture in all we do. Therefore, the Word of God is the standard for all that we think, do and say and we believe that God has given us His word to be the standard for our daily lives.

The people who call EMC “home” are not perfect, nor do we desire to put on a mask. We simply desire to grow in a thankful, teachable spirit as we worship together, learn together, and grow together for the glory of Christ.

What to expect:

How long is service? Our morning worship service runs for about 1 hour and 15 minutes (typically 35 minutes of worship in music, Scripture reading, and prayer, and 40 minutes of a message from Scripture).

What about children? EMC offers Sunday school classes for children of all ages at 9:45 AM, and nursery is provided for infants through 4 years old during Sunday school and the late morning sermon. Children's church is also provided for Kindergarten through 3rd grade during the second service.

What is the service like? We believe a worship service is not a show, but a time to hear from God through the reading and preaching of his Word. We also participate in singing, praying, and giving, which we believe are expressions of love and dependence upon God. Our music is a blended style comprising piano, vocals, guitars, drums, and keyboard. Our sermon series are generally expository in nature (going verse by verse through books of the Bible).

How do people normally dress? You are welcome to dress in a manner that is comfortable for you. Our congregation normally dresses in a mixture of business casual to formal style.
